The students of V.V D.A.V Public school went to attend an International Adolescent Summit 2018 organised by 'Expression India' held in Indian Islamic Culture Centre situated in Lodi road,New Delhi under the guidance of Mrs.Chhaya Malik and Ms.Ishita
.There were around more than 50 Schools all over India participated in the Summit .Various events were conducted there which were sursangam,Global health exhibition,jingle,youth parliament,quiz ,solo dance and young orators championship.
The chief guest was honourable Shri Pranab Mukherjee.He inaugurated the beautiful event and then he gave an inspiring speech .He said that the youth are the pillars of tomorrow's future.It was followed by the motivational speech of Dr.Jitendra Nagpal who was the programme director.
There were various workshops attended by both teachers and students which were related to first Aid ,CPR Training and workshops on life skills for the welfare of school and well being.On 6th December the chief guest Priya Bhargava .She is the Miss India wheelchair 2017 who encouraged the students with her inspiring life story.Shree Malay Mukherjee,the chairperson of International Adolescent Summit distributed the prizes.
The students of class 9th Shreya Maurya,Divya Sharma,Priyanchal Tayal and Gunjit Verma won meritorious award in global school health exhibition and Nishit Malkania of class 7th also won meritorious award for sursangam.The Summit was a good platform for not only showcasting the talents of students but also for student teacher learning
