STORY NARRATION COMPETITION “SPIN A YARN”
Stories are the things which we need most in the world. Stories give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our physical world into the land of fairies , dragons and wishing trees. Since time immemorial , story telling has been an integral part of our childhood. To keep the tradition going and to incite curiosity and the love of reading in children , a story telling competition was held as a part of Inter Class Competition on 8th October, 2018. Children narrated stories from ‘Fairy Tales’. To captivate the audiences attention and make the narration interesting, the narrators donned the characters , used props , use of facial expressions , gestures and voice modulations. As the competition was intense , judges had a difficult time in choosing the winner.
The first position was bagged by class II E “ The Princess And The Pea” and
class II F “The Emperor New Clothes”.
The second position by class II B “Princess Rose & The Golden Bird”.
The third position by II C “ Rapunzel” and II D “ The Little Red Hen”.
Encouragement to class II A “ Jack & The Beanstalk”
The event ended with our Incharge Ma'am, Mrs. Kavita Dewan giving her insights on diction and pronunciation to help the students take their performance a notch higher.
