Ad Astra

The primary wing celebrated its Annual Day -‘ Ad Astra - a journey to the stars ‘ recently. Dr N.K Uberoi, Vice President DAV College Managing Committee was the Chief Guest and Ms Chitra Nakra , Founder Principal of the school was the Guest of Honour of the occassion . The celebration provided an excellent platform to the students to showcase their talents . Meritorious students of class 3 to 5 of the session 2017-18 were also felicitated on the occassion . 

The programme began with the singing of DAV GAAN followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp . The  students welcomed the guests through a beautifully choreographed classical dance performance ‘swagatam ‘ .The school choir sang a melodious composition “Zindagi Ko Rung De De”.

A mesmerising dance performance on the theme ‘ Vasudev Katumbhkam, which means - the world is one family ‘ enthralled the audience .

Another dance presentation on the theme of ‘Women Empowerment ‘ was appreciated by one and all. A Ballet based on story - Frozen captivated the attention of the audience .

Principal Ms. Shalini Arora presented the school report highlighting the accolades won by the students in different spheres both scholastic and co scholastic. Supervisory head Ms Kavita Dewan talked about the holistic development of students through participation in different activities.

The main highlight of the show was the participation of the students of the Akanksha Wing. Utopia – a presentation on sign language stole the show .The programme culminated by chanting of Shanti Path .
