ART WEEK

Veda Vyasa DAV Public School,  Vikas Puri organized Art Week for the academic year 2019-20 recently. The event marked an overwhelming participation of  the students at all levels. The students of the Primary Wing also participated in the Art Week with great enthusiasm and showcased their artistic and creative acumen at their best.

While the tiny artistic hands of classes 2 and 3 engaged themselves in vegetable and thumb printing and,the students of classes 4 and 5 portrayed their creative skills by making decorative pen-stands, wall hangings and headbands . Most of these pieces of art were made of waste materials thereby reinforcing the message of 5 Rs. In this crucial hour when the entire world is trying to put up hands together to combat the hazardous effects of global warming, this activity by the students on Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle helped in sensitising the people about the importance of preserving nature. Students also presented works of art made of waste bottles,  vegetables,cans etc.

The week long celebrations provided the young learners with a platform for displaying their creative skills and sensitize themselves with the urgent need of saving our planet from further deterioration.
