CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME

Veda Vyasa DAV Public School Vikaspuri organized a Capacity Building Programme- the first cycle of training calendar 2019-20 comprising of three days for English and 2 days for ICT Teachers of DAV Schools in Delhi and NCR under the aegis of Regional Training Center – DAV Centre for Academic Excellence .

The workshops provide a platform for a wide array of learning opportunities and Innovative Technological Pedagogies for teachers . The basic premise of the workshops at various venues for English teachers of Primary, Middle and Senior groups was to empower teachers to a dynamic participant centered learning . A gamut of exhilarating sessions added a novel edge to classroom teaching and enhanced learning processes.

These workshops paved way for teachers to improve general skills, time management , improved use of educational technology and learn innovative ways to motivate learners . All the Master Trainers at the different venues for English engaged teachers in Group Discussions, Interactive Sessions, Lesson Plan Presentations, Inter Disciplinary Learning, Experiential Learning, Story Telling, Proverbs-illustration , Games on Idioms, Blooms taxonomy, Making of Point Sheet, Reflection Sheet, Story Maps, Integration of Art into teaching, Art of Questioning and Changes in Blue Print of Class X Question Paper.

The workshop had many take aways like innovative lesson plans for classes IX and X . The 2 day ICT workshop was an engaging space. A session on Cyber Crime Cyber Laws, Cyber safety , Cyber Hygiene and Media Literacy was conducted . Teachers had hands on experience on various Apps in education like Google lens, Cam Scanner , Kahoot, PDF Editor . The Master Trainers also had discussions about Assessment/Evaluation, Rubrics Design and creation of Digital Portfolios.

The master trainers were lauded for their creative teaching paradigms. The workshop was seamlessly conducted under the able guidance of the Principal of the School Mrs. Shalini Arora.
