Veda Vyasa DAV Public School recognizes this and strives to ensure that the student learner obtains this knowledge.
Mathematics week “Ganit Utsav” was celebrated from 21Oct to 24 Oct which showcased plethora of creative, innovative and stimulating activities for classes 1 to 11.

Class 1.
“Maths on Ramp”
Our tiny tots dressed in beautiful attire of numbers , operations , shapes , objects .They did the ramp walk and stole the heart of everyone .

Classes2&3
“ Maths Heros”
Students dressed like their favourite Mathematical Heros like Brahma Gupta, Ramanujan, Shakuntala Devi, Aryabhatta etc and depicted their life journey through music and dance.
“FIGOURATIVE CRAFT”
Integration of Arts with Maths was seen in
Making of Bandhanwar with 2D Shapes and writing the multiplication tables on this .It helped students to learn importance of Team Work Togetherness ,Enhanced their creativity and taught them Mathematics is Fun .

Classes 4&5:
“Shoonya se anant ki aur”
Students celebrated the journey of Mathematics right from prehistoric times to modern times.
Students highlighted the achievements in the field of Mathematics during the timeline with the help of power point presentation ,Music Dance, fashion show, and Drama.Students exhibited the best of the Math-e-art .

Classes 6&7:
“ExpressO Mathematics and Dra- Math( Drama and Maths)”
Students presented role play on different Mathematical topics .The scripts were written by the students , The mega show witnessed the diverse capabilities and talents of students in enacting, dramatisation , music , dance , designing of props , dresses and PPT’s

Class8:
“Mathematics masterpiece”
Students made the presentations on the alloted topics using various art forms like mandala art, warli art, fractals on graph sheet. These art forms were integrated with the mathematical concepts and topics stimulating the creative approach towards the subject.

Class9 :
“The Mathematical Journey “
Students showcased the origin , development , application and research value of various mathematical concepts.

Class10
“Statistics in Acton”
Surveys were conducted by students wherein they collected data , grouped it ,analysed it using various averages like mean , median , mode and inferences were depicted by graphical representations.
The extensive data base files, ppts were also prepared on thetopics such as social media popularity , air pollution , water pollution and comparison between outdoor activities and use of smartphones .

Class11:
“Cross Cutting themes”
Students of class XI presented many research based projects , games and activities in Ganit Utsav.They came out with a lot of creative and innovative ideas.The topics like extensive use of fractals , fibonaaci series in surroundings,nature , trade spellbound the audience
Students also made movie showing how mathematics concepts influence the performance of sports person in every sport be it cricket , football ,basketball etc.

Our editorial team of students took pictures , reported events , wrote reports , edited them and even designed a maths newsletter.

Each class activity was a milestone that marked intellect growth, unfolded the imaginations of students and gave life to their thoughts and ideas.
