DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Veda Vyasa DAV Public School conducted a mock drill in the school premises to ensure the safety of the children in case of a disaster. The basic premise of the drill was to sensitize the students and create awareness about safe self management during natural disasters.

The drill also aimed to establish a systematic safe and orderly evacuation from the affected areas to safety. With the sounding of the hooter the school building was evacuated with in a couple of minutes from the pre-decided exit routes.

Various posters, placards, models and PPT’s on disaster management were prepared by the students highlighting their causes, ill effects and preventive measures.

The Principal of the school Mrs. Chitra Nakra advised the students to remain calm in case of disaster. She also shared some valuable evacuation tips and how casualties could be avoided during disasters
