SANGAM – A Confluence of Talents

When a collection of brilliant minds, hearts and talents come together

It’s a masterpiece.

The Nursery wing of the school is a small heaven illuminated with the radiance and the beauty of twinkling stars.

The little champs were introduced to a gamut of activities that helped them develop the physical, cognitive, emotional, and aesthetic skills through an event SANGAM – A confluence of Talents. The event provided an opportunity to all to participate, learn, display their creativity, skills and talents.

Children prepared zealously to excel in these events, thus making it a grand success. The events are organized through an array of online activities.

To encourage and showcase the speaking skills of students, the events prepared by kids were

1. KATHA VAACHAN-Story narration event in Hindi was held to encourage and showcase the speaking skills of students.
2. RHYME-O-MANIA-Rhyme Recitation event was also held on the theme Good habits.

The participants not only recited the rhymes confidently and narrated the stories with voice modulation, but also used appropriate props aesthetically.

1. SPILL THE BEAN-The characters and the initial details of the stories remains the same, the latter halves were imaginative and innovative.

The following Family events helped in building confidence and creating a stronger emotional bond between children and parents.

1. RAINBOW IN MY PLATE-Flameless Cooking to decorate a plate using healthy food was done, there by adding lots of colours to the plate.
2. ZERO WASTE CHEF –The child along with a family member prepared a vegetarian superfood using food scraps of left over food.

Children expressed and communicated their ideas through a soulful dance performance in the events.

1. MOVE AND GROOVE – Children prepared a dance presentation with a prop in appropriate costume, makeup and background.
2. FEEL THE NATURE VIBES – Kids performed dance steps depicting nature elements such as water, fire, air to support the theme Nature.

Singing is a fantastic life skill that comes in handy in all manner of scenarios throughout life. To encourage this, the following singing events were prepared by kids.

1. SUR TARANGAM – Kids recorded a video by singing devotional and patriotic song along with a light background music.
2. MELODIOUS MOMENTS- The event covered both vocal and instrumental song presentation performed by the kids on the theme peace and patriotism.

Learning to express themselves with the help of art in new ways helps kids gain confidence and perseverance.

1. CLOWN/JOKER MAKING – To gain an understanding of base colouring, tearing and pasting and different shapes and colours kids enhanced their creativity through this activity.
2. TUX PAINTING – Kids performed Collage making activity for the theme our planet and our future depicting the concept “The problem of Global Warming”.
3. POSTER MAKING – Art and craft activity helped kids to portray their ideas through “Save Animals Poster”.
4. EXPLORE AND LEARN –This Art activity helped kids to explore earth’s picture along with colours, shapes and textures.

Physical activity is an important part of play and learning. These activities are vital for kids health and development. Kids recorded sports events as

1. STAR JUMP ACTIVITY
2. RAINBOW PASS
3. MOUNTAIN CLIMBER

The participation in these events was done through recorded videos.

As the participants expressed themselves, their playful creativity and unbridled imagination of parents, brought alive their emotions and created a palette of colours.

Their vivacity and brilliance was displayed fully in their performances.
