World Environment Day Virtual Celebration
A Chance to Dream and Reflect
We believe in celebrating! We believe in implementing!
World Environment Day (Saturday,5th June,21) was celebrated with full zest by tiny tots of the Nursery Wing wherein various activities were designed for students to perform from their homes thus keeping them aware of various environmental issues.
Preschoolers with the help of their parents did an art and craft activity to convey the message of “Saving Marine Life” where they created a marine life effect in a utensil by painting it and putting their available toy aquatic animals and other decorative materials. The little environmental crusaders learned about the impact of trash thrown in water bodies on marine life.
The students of Pre-Primary prepared interesting and innovative Story Boards on the topic “Save Water”. Children came up with beautiful self-made stories conveying the message of Water Conservation. Every creation was unique using different art techniques like painting, tearing and pasting, puppet making, etc.
The Environmental Crusaders of Grade I prepared creative Flip Books having collections of different handmade posters on different environmental issues like Save Water, Grow More Trees, Say No to Single-Use Plastic, and so on. Children used different mediums to make posters like drawing and colouring, using waste material like wrappers, pencil shavings, etc., and pictures from old books. Some children also created digital Flipbooks on the same.
The showstopper of the day was the online quiz conducted for little ones to test their awareness and sensitivity about the environment. Children participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm. Digital certificates were given to all the participants.
The activities were not only an expression of their hidden skills and creativity but also their contribution towards the betterment of the environment.
”Let us nurture Nature so that we can have a better future".
