Celebration of World Peace Day
“When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace.”
Peace Day was established in 1981 and is celebrated every year on September 21st to commemorate and strengthen the ideals of peace.
Keeping this in line, the students of EEDP group of VVDAV (classes PS-2) celebrated the day with full enthusiasm & creativity. The day was commenced with a prayer invoking the blessings of Almighty for peace and harmony. Students, dressed in white, recited a short poem explaining the value of peace and also enjoyed making dove and a badge (symbol of peace).
The message of ‘Peace and Prosperity’ was disseminated through placards. A short but informative PPT upon the significance of the day along with a story was shared by the teachers. They also inspired the students to resolve to be a better person in their homes and neighbourhood so that the country can radiate peace.
