Oral hygiene is one of the most quintessential elements of human personality. However, it is often underrated and ignored. To cater to the queries of the students and the staff, the Interact Club of Veda Vyasa DAV Public School, The Healing Touch organised a free dental check-up camp on November 4, 2022.

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Janakpuri in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Delhi Midtown, Rtn. Raju Aggarwal, the President graced the event with his exalted presence.

The camp marked an enthusiastic participation by the student fraternity of the school, engaging themselves with the Rotarians and the doctors. Principal, Ms Shalini Arora , the Interact Club In-Charge, Ms Gurjot Kaur and Ms Sonali Taneja , the incharges Ms Kavita Dewan and Ms Anju Singh , in their conversation with the students encouraged them to come up with their issues that were later addressed by the dental specialists.

Oral health services such as screening, fillings to treat cavities as well as handy dental care tips were provided in the camp. With a minimal invasive techniques, the specialists reviewed the dental problems and addressed the same.

The club was able to reach 100+ students and staff members to discuss their complications with the professionals. Certainly, this broadened the arena to speak freely about the dental issues people encounter without paying much heed to them. It is a realization that such camps and the need to care about oral hygiene are no doubt necessary for overall well being.
