Veda Vyasa DAV Public School organized an orientation programme for the parents of class VII and VIII on 28 April, 2018 in the school premises under the guidance of the Principal ma'am, Mrs Chitra Nakra. The aim was to familiarize the parents as ‘partners in progress’ with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, the co-scholastic activities and the evaluation system.
The programme started with a DAV gaan. Thereafter the school counsellor Mrs Kavita Dewan interacted with the parents on behavioural problems of children and how to cope up with them. It was followed by a brief speech by the Principal ma'am wherein she laid stress on the holistic development of the child which is the main aim and objective of the school. Furthermore, parents were briefed about the guidelines to be followed by them for the all round development of the students and were also told about the scholastic and co- scholastic activities held in the month of April by Ms Neetu Khanna and Ms Roma Gulati, class VII and VIII coordinators respectively.
The session was concluded by Ms. Sonia Malik , supervisory head of the middle wing, who made the parents aware of the latest CBSE assessment and evaluation system of scholastic and co-scholastic areas and also clarified the doubts of the parents on different issues.
The orientation programme ended on a good note with an aim of growing our children into happy, skilful and creatively well- adjusted citizens.
