INDEPENDENCE DAY
Patriotic Palette "a week long programme before Independence Day was celebrated in the Nursery Wing of Veda Vyasa D.A.V Public School. This included-
Crafty Craft on 2.8.18, this included making Tri colour kites, balloons and doves. The little cherubs gave a vent to their creativity and enjoyed this activity.
Tri colour lunch on 13.8.18. The kids brought Tri colour lunch prepared by their mothers.They were told the importance of the three colours of the flag and their patriotic fervor was aroused.They were overwhelmed with joy to eat tri colour lunch. MY INDIA MY PRIDE, a cultural programme on 14.8.18.
The Nursery Wing celebrated the 72nd Independence Day and remembered with gratitude the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. Each and every pupil came dressed in traditional attire .
A cultural programme was presented,prepared under the guidance of Mrs. Anju Singh, the supervisory Incharge. Principal, Mrs.Chitra Nakra was the guest of honour. The highlights of the programme were-
*Solo dance by Soumya of Pre Primary E.
*Poem "Colours of India"by Lakshay and Ashvika of 1B.
*Poem "Where the Mind is Without Fear"by Vatsal and Dhananjay of 1 E, Gurleen of 1 F and Nitya of Pre- Primary E.
*Rhyme by Vaanya Vij of Pre-Primary B.
*Speech on Independence Day by Gaurav of 1F.
*Solo song by Yuvraj of 1E.
*Speech on patriotism by Aarna of 1A.
*Group song by 1E.
*Group dance by Pre Primary and Class 1 students.
*Address by Principal Madam reinforced the concept "My India My Pride".
The entire programme was a big success and aroused patriotic fervour among the pupils, giving them a sense of pride to be an Indian.
