*As quoted by Joyce Allston, "Grandparents, like heroes, are as necessary to a child’s growth as vitamins.”* and to honour them, the Foundation group of *VVDAV PUBLIC SCHOOL* celebrated Grandparents Day on *15th September, 2023* .
The celebration began with a beautiful Ganesh Vandana, invoking blessings and setting a spiritual tone for the day. The event salied forth with the other cultural programmes. The exemplary performances of the students tied the entire show and left everyone spellbound with cheerful faces.
Various games like 'ADs game','Musical game' and many more were organised for the grandparents. These games encouraged interaction and cooperation, making sure everyone had a great time. Laughter Yoga was a unique and delightful addition to the event. Grandparents and students alike participated in this fun and therapeutic exercise, promoting not only physical health but also spreading positivity and joy. It was a moment of elation to see the happiness ushering in the faces of all the grandparents.
Grandparents appreciated and shared their views on the efforts taken by the school and teachers to make a connection between the generations.
Principal Ms. Shalini Arora addressed the audience and expressed warm gratitude to all the grandparents for gracing the occasion with their presence and encouraged everyone to cherish the memories created on this special day.
Supervisory incharge, Ms. Anju Singh delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks. She emphasized upon the importance of family bonds and the wisdom that flows through generations, underlining the significance of this day.The event culminated with ‘Shanti Path’.
