Annual day Report

 

The Junior Wing of Veda Vyasa DAV Public School hosted its enthralling Annual Day cum Carnival celebrations The Spectacle of Harmony-‘Vasudhev Kutumbkam’ World is one Family, on 3rd February 2024. Commemorating the spirit of unity and global citizenship. The event showcased a delightful blend of student performances, carnival games, and activities, highlighting the importance of cultural exchange, empathy, and understanding across borders. The program commenced with a heart warming welcome speech by the Principal Mrs. Shalini Arora, highlighting the achievements and laurels won by the school.The function was graced by honorable Smt.Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, wife of the member of Parliament West Delhi and Dr. Rajivir Singh, Deputy Director of Education, Delhi West B.

The day was filled with a variety of performances, each unique and captivating. Tiny tots dressed in vibrant costumes melted hearts with their adorable dance performance on Happiness and Sustainable development goals.

Students charmed the audience with folk dances from different regions of India, highlighting the rich cultural tapestry of our nation. 

The theme ‘Vasudhev Kutumbkam’ resonated deeply with the young minds ,who with their performance explored the unification of the world, emphasizing values like compassion ,empathy and respect for diversity. The event served as a beautiful reminder that despite the differences, we are part of one human family, sharing this planet and its resources.The message of global unity and the need to overcome prejudice, discrimination by spreading the message of peace and harmony was conveyed by scintillating dances. 

‘Health is Wealth’ fostering this thought in the minds of our audience, different ‘Asanas’ were shown to instill the values of Yoga in our lives through the perfect presentation of different yogic poses.

The universe in its vastness is woven from five fundamental elements known as ‘Panch Tatva’, which aren't just physical matter, but represent energies and qualities.Terrific troupers created the delicate balance that sustains everything from mountains to minds. The fiery performance reminded us of our connection to the grand tapestry of our Cosmos.

Adding to the celebrity spirit was a vibrant carnival zone in the school grounds. Students enjoyed various games, food stalls, and activities, fostering a sense of camaraderie and community.

Madam Manager of the school Mrs. Manju Malik applauded the efforts of the students and appreciated teachers for their hard work behind the grand success of the event.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Supervisory head of the Junior wing Mrs.Anju Singh, by acknowledging the outstanding efforts of the participants and teachers. The gala show came to an end with the chants of Shanti path.

The Annual Day cum Carnival served as more than just a celebration. It provided a platform for students to explore and express their understanding of global unity, fostering a sense of empathy, respect, and responsibility towards their fellow human beings. The event also helped strengthen the school community by bringing together students, teachers, and parents in a shared spirit of celebration and learning.
