World Book Day

The World Book Day celebration in the Primary Wing was a tremendous success, with a plethora of activities conducted to spark a love for reading among students at all levels.
Tiny toys of Pre-school and enjoyed *Drop Everything and Read* time as they explored the idea of ‘*Read Your Way’* in their own little universe of books .
Literatis of Pre Primary engaged themselves in activity where they wrote their names and explored the sounds associated with the letters . They too had their share of DEAR time .
Youngsters of classes I and II had their share of fun with books with activities like *Rapid Reading Card Round* and *Reading Sight Words*
Vocabulary enhancement and raising a curiosity to explore the language was aimed at through these innovative activities.
*Story telling* has always held a special significance in the world of children . Students of class III narrated moral stories designing relevant puppets , thereby adding an aesthetic element to the activity.
One of the highlights of the day was the *Tell a Tale with a Twist *session, where the students of class V shared their favorite stories with a creative spin. This activity not only encouraged storytelling but also fostered imagination and critical thinking .
Another engaging activity was the “*Book Mark Designing”* where in the students showcased their artistic talents by *creating unique and colorful bookmarks* and wrote motivational quotes on them
One of the most exciting moments of the day was seeing ‘Characters Come Alive ‘as students of class IV dressed up as iconic literary characters from the books they have read . This activity not only brought books to life but also allowed students to embody their favorite characters.
Overall the World Book Day celebration was a wonderful opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the magical world of books and celebrate the joy of reading together.
