A STEM Workshop was organized by the CBSE centre of excellence on 3^rd July 2019 at Veda Vyasa DAV Public School Vikaspuri, which was attended by 68 participants from 30 schools.

The Main idea of this workshop was to inculcate critical thinking, Creativity and innovation through experiential learning which relates to contextual real life challenges. The resource persons encouraged out of the box thinking rather than simple step wise instructions.

Various Hands on activities were performed by the participants in groups which included the following experiments:

- Understanding of Air quality Index and Vital capacity of lungs

- Design of model of Human Respiratory system

- Design of an air filter mask using different material provided

- Learn how to incorporate bio- mimetic design into constructing a helmet

- Using breadboard to make sieves/parallel circuits of LEDs

- Understanding the use of the transistor and LDR through hands on circuitry.

Using this approach the learner will be able to adapt themselves to problem solving and creative thinking. The entire session was conducted by “Mr. Amitabh Sharma” and his team. He took great pains to make the entire workshop interactive and enjoyable.
