TEACHERS DAY
A teacher is like a brilliant light, illuminating the prism of life, revealing to students a rainbow of possibilities. They are the ones who mould the minds of the little ones and help them to discover the best within themselves.
The Nursery Wing of V.V.D.A.V Public School celebrated Teachers Day with great fun, and enthusiasm.A Special Assembly was conducted on 4th September 2019 in which the little cherubs showed their reverence for their teachers, marked with tons of love and respect for their teachers.
The assembly began with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra and Prayers. It was followed by the recitation of the auspicious"Guru Mantra" by Saimedhansh of (PP B). As guru is the destroyer of darkness in a students life so he has a significant role , therefore respect was given to "guru".
A dance performance on " Saraswati Vandana"followed by Kriti Ananya of (PP B).Goddess Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge and she endows human beings with powers of speech, wisdom and learning. So the blessings of Goddess Saraswati were invoked.Thought for the day was given by Navjot of (PP A).Speeches for Teachers Day were delivered by Suhaani of (1A),Kavya of (PP D) and Guransh of (PP B)
A big revolution is taking place in our Nation ,and our school children are also participating in it by "Rejecting the single use plastic."Pupils have been sensitized on this issue and they have started using steel tiffin box and steel cutlery. The little ones have even motivated their parents to use jute and paper bags. Upkar and Ayushmann of PS-F presented a jingle on the same subject acting as nature guards.
An extensive awareness generation and interaction conducted by teachers identified those children who have rejected the use of one time plastic and were awarded with green stars by the Principal and Supervisory Incharge.
Dance is the best and a wonderful way to express happiness, excitement and passion. A scintillating group dance by Class 1 children on theme ' Teachers day' was appreciated by one and all. It enthralled the onlookers.
The programme concluded by words of wisdom by reverend Principal Mrs. Shalini Arora and Mrs. Anju Singh the Supervisory Incharge also conferred her blessings on the cherubs.
