BOND OF LOVE

“No joy on Earth brings greater pleasure than a grandchild to love and treasure.”

Grandparents have a significant and growing impact on the well-being of their grandchildren and it was the time to thank them for their unconditional love, care and warmth. Keeping in line with the traditional values and ethics followed at VVDAV, EEDP group of students celebrated Grandparents’ Day on Friday, September 10, 2021 with full enthusiasm.

All the grandparents of Pre-School, Pre- Primary and classes 1 &2 were sent a virtual invitation. The celebration began with the welcome speech which was followed by many fun – filled activities & games like narrating stories, singing songs, craft work and many more. Principal, Ms Shalini Arora, and Supervisory Incharge of junior wing , Ms Anju Singh, visited the classes and accorded the grandparents with their kind words. The mind tickling quiz on our freedom fighters, cricketers and national leaders was also conducted which had enthusiastic participation of the energetic grandfathers and lovely grandmothers.

There were some touching moments where the elderly guests shared love for their grandchildren. They reiterated their responsibility as the role models and mentors for their younger generation as they believe children carry the legacy not only of what is given but also fill the voids left behind by the elders.

The children culminated the day by expressing their strong bond of love in the form of dance with their grandparents as vote of thanks.
