‘Unity in diversity' is the pride and identity of India. Several leaders and freedom fighters have propagated this ideology; and one such revolutionary was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India .
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day)' observed every year on 31st October to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary. It not only commemorates the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of national integration of independent India, but also re-affirms the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand threats to the unity, integrity and security of the country.
In order to mark the National Unity Day,the students of all the classes were made aware of Sardar Patel’s teachings and values. They were virtually made to take a unity pledge, encompassing their roles and responsibilities in ensuring the unity and harmony of this nation at all times.
