Class IV - VIII

‘Earth is the only planet we have to live .’ And in celebration of our beloved planet, the school hosted various events on Earth Day, April 22, 2022. These events were intended to promote the beauty of planet Earth and how we as residents can protect it, animals, other life and ourselves. The theme for this years Earth Day Celebration is : Invest in our Planet. Celebrations began with e- waste collection from the staff and students for appropriate dispose off it, with least hazard for the environment.

Class 4 students did their bit by writing slogans to save Earth.

Class 5 made posters to spread awareness about importance of saving resources for better future. Class 6 students showcased their creativity by creating ‘wealth from waste ‘. They made useful items from waste materials thus focusing on recycling and reuse .

Students of Class 7 and Class 8 prepared informative posters and slogans on 5 R’s and Conservation of Natural Resources .

They emphasised on the growing need of developing sustainable practices in order to protect all from the greatest threat of climatic changes. Students also took a pledge to do their part to protect Earth from further deterioration. Students of class 4 to 8 wore Earth Day badges to show their concern for their Mother Earth .

Class IX- XII

It is correctly said "Love the mother earth as you would love yourself!"

 Today, on the auspicious occasion of Earth day, the students of senior wing of Veda Vyasa DAV Public School, Vikaspuri expressed their love for the mother Earth.
The students  of senior wing ( IX-XII) initiated many projects like water conservation-Do the earth a favour, be a water saver and sensitize their juniors about its importance and create awareness.
The series of events started with a special morning assembly conducted by the council team of class XII. They highlighted the importance of collecting e-waste and the emphasised the need to conserve the depleting natural resources.
There were plethora of activities conducted in the senior wing like interactive sessions on topics related to discouraging single use plastics, poster making,slogan writing,poem writing  and many more! 
The flow of events continued by culminated by taking an oath to take strict actions towards the deterioration of natural resources and to conserve them for the future generations. The pledge was headed by our honorable principal Mrs. Shalini Arora,an inspiration for all of us!! 
Following all this, E waste collection drive occurred, wherein, the students contributed for a good cause by contributing the e waste for its proper disposal.
