National Doctors’ Day
National Doctors’ Day is celebrated on July 1 all across India to honour the legendary physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy.Under the adept guidance of our honourable Principal ma'am Mrs. Shalini Arora and Supervisory Incharge Mrs. Anju Singh the students of Class 2 celebrated National Doctor’s Day ,to pay tribute to all medical practitioners.The celebration was an attempt to value doctors in our lives and to express our gratitude towards them.Doctors are the real heroes fighting at the forefront to save millions of lives around the globe. Teachers explained to the students the importance of health and hygiene and the role played by the Doctors in our society.The special dayq was integrated with the academic work also like creative writing on Doctor's Day and reading and enacting Hindi lesson "दाँत का दर्द".Students were encouraged to speak about tools and things commonly used by the doctors and even told about some of the medical professionals, children may come into contact with like dentist, physician etc.
Students expressed heartfelt gratitude to doctors through beautifully designed thank you notes.They also visited the school medical room to wish the inhouse doctors on the eve of Doctor’s Day. It was truly overwhelming to receive wishes from the little children.Children were also told to visit their family doctors along with their parents and thank them for their relentless services by giving the Thank You note prepared in class.
It was indeed a wonderful day that was observed with a spirit of thankfulness and gratitude.
