Orientation was held for the parents of the students of class IX and X to familiarise them with the latest curriculum and assessment pattern for the current academic session. The programme commenced with the welcoming of the parents by Ms Roma Gulati, Coordinator X, which was followed by showcasing the glimpses of co- scholastic activities held in the past few months. Thereafter, Ms Shalini Arora, the Principal of the school addressed the parents. She encapsulated the need to encounter the challenges of the education system after two years of online learning and beckoned upon the parents to monitor the progress of their children and nurture them to be morally upright, intellectually well informed and environment conscious individuals. Ms Nisha Sharma, coordinator IX, apprised the parents of the scholastic and co-scholastic domains in class IX and X as per the CBSE norms and the assessment pattern through a comprehensive PPT presentation.
School counsellor and Supervisory Head of the Senior wing, Ms. Kavita Dewan through her presentation on 'Adolescent Education' sensitized the parents about the physical, cognitive, social and emotional changes observed in the students in their adolescent years and how to deal with these behavioural changes and the mental health of the students.
She also urged the parents to be actively involved in the upbringing of their wards and pointed out that only an active synergy among parents, teachers and students could bring out the holistic development of the students.
The interactive session received heartfelt appreciation from the parents.
