VEDA VYASA DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL bore a festive look as the school celebrated its much awaited Winter Carnival CELEBRATING SMILES 2.0 with special emphasis on entrepreneurship and the vision of Sustainable Development Goals.The visitors included eminent guests from the Rotary Club,IDFC First Bank,Parents, Students and Alumni of the school.They were spellbound by the vibrant array of decorated stalls.Numerous Skill games, art and craft corner, face painting, hair braiding and selfie booth were set up alongside an aromatic food court.The fashion show and baby show dazzled the audience.The school ground reverberated with pulsating music and enthralling song & dance presentations in the Talent showcase stalls.The special attractions were Green Couture -A fashion show to promote sustainability,Eco Sip- tea and soup in edible crockery and a street play presentation by the students. All the stalls witnessed immense participation by students, their parents and the public at large.The Innovation Arena put up by students of ATL lab was indeed a crowd puller.The students showcased their creativity and innovative solutions for a sustainable future. The SDG HAAT was the highlight of the gala fair.The students exhibited their eco-friendly products to show their commitment to SDGs and concern for the environment. There were even games on SDGs and a special game to reinforce waste segregation. The Manager of the school Mr.SK Jain graced the occasion and lauded the efforts of the school ,teachers and the staff for this unique initiative as it provided a platform for the students to hone their entrepreneurial skills.The carnival was a memorable event which was organised under the dynamic leadership of the Principal Mrs. Shalini Arora.The guidance of the Supervisory Incharges Ms. Kavita Dewan and Mrs. Anju Singh made the event a grand success.The bright faces ,happy smiles and the enthusiastic crowd made it an indelible day filled with delight and merriment.
