The Junior Wing of Veda Vyasa DAV Public School celebrated International Dance Day with exemplary avidity. The event showcased stellar performances by the young dancing divas from classes I- V, keeping the spirit of the occasion zestful and entertaining.
Genres of dance forms included folk dances from various Indian states, students tapped their feet on folk songs from Rajasthan, Haryana , Sikkim ,Punjab and Nepal . Fusion dance , Hawaiian dance and contemporary dance performances stole the limelight through their peppy and zestful moves . Classical dance forms like Bharatnatyam added elegance to the celebrations and kept the audience glued to their seats . Yashasvi , class 1 B bagged the first place , followed by Hridaya of class 3B and Simar of class 5D who received the second prize. Saumya Sharma was awarded the 3rd position in the competition. The winners and all the performers were applauded in bounty by the Supervisory Incharge of the wing , Ms Anju Singh for their energetic , sincere and passionate presentations.
