Veda Vyasa DAV Public School Vikaspuri organized Varchasv -2.0 for students of class 12. Encouraging the synergy between sports and academics is imperative to edify the mind and reinforce positive cognitive development in youth. With this premise, the school organized intraclass cricket and badminton tournament for class 12th. The First match of this 4-day series began with classes 12 B & 12 C competing for quarter-finals and class 12 B emerged as winners. The second and the third day saw engrossing matches between the sections with classes 12 B and 12 D in the finals. The finale saw the clash of the Titans with 12 B emerging as winners led by the captain Yash Tyagi. The school’s principal gave the best batsman trophy to Parth Singh of class 12 B. Yash Tyagi of class 12 B was awarded the best bowler trophy and has also been declared as the man of the series. The most coveted rolling trophy of Varchasva 2.0 was conferred to class 12 B.
The Badminton tournament organized for the girls was a battle of skill, strategy and agility. The runner-up trophy was bagged by class 12 D and the rolling trophy went to class 12 E with Manya Narula emerging as the winner. The passion for sports in our country knows no boundaries and there is no second doubt that this event has been an excellent one for sports lovers to adore!
