Standing with head held high *VVDAV Vikaspuri* not only embraced the unprecedented challenges but also emerged more determined and iron witted offering the finest opportunities.
A day of honour, a day of invigoration and appreciation. It was the day of felicitation ceremony organised by *Indian Centre for Plastics in the Environment, ICPE* Mumbai to recognise the tremendous achievements of the plastic waste collection drive for 49 schools in Delhi.
The event was graced by the presence of *Chief Guest Mr Sumit Basu Chief General Manager*, IOCL Ltd., *Mr SK Ray Hon. Sec. ICPE*,esteemed dignitaries from *IPCA Director,Mr. Ashish Jain and Deputy Director Ms. Radha Goyal.Rtn. Binita Kakkar,President Rotary Club of Delhi Janak, Rtn. Archana Aggarwal Secretary RCDJ, Rtn. Raju Aggarwal Past President RCDJ* and principals from various schools.
Ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp as a tribute to the goddess of knowledge.Thereafter *Ms. Shalini Arora* Principal ,Veda Vyasa DAV Public School welcomed the distinguished guests followed by a scintillating dance performance by the host School which added colour and vibrance to the program .Also,the terrific troupers of *M.M Public School* added the spark by presenting an
intriguing Nukkad Natak highlighting the importance of plastic waste and environment.
Subsequently,revered chief guest addressed the august gathering , motivating the students to strive towards their goal and felicitated participant schools with prizes and certificates.
Then came the moment of veneration ,an exceptional achievement of our school. With utmost pleasure and pride we share that the prestigious first place is bagged by none other than *Veda Vyasa DAV Public School Vikaspuri* with a jaw dropping collection of *632 kilograms* braced by our beacon Ms.Shalini Arora ,Principal of the school. With the required diligence and dedication,the school has been able to prove its mettle once again .
The program culminated with mellifulous National Anthem presented by cheerful cherubs in sign language.
