World Economic Forum
The Annual Academic activity for Economics students of Class XIII was organised on 16 July 2024, under the guidance of the Economics teachers Mrs Anju Singh, and Mrs. Neelu Chibba.
Approximately 60 delegates, representing diverse countries and organizations, participated in the forum, focusing on the agenda "Building a Resilient and Sustainable Global Economy." Their presentations highlighted their respective countries' significant contributions to fostering a globally interconnected world. A fascinating array of developed and developing countries were represented, each possessing the potential to substantially contribute to the discussions.
The opening ceremony commenced with an inspiring address by the Principal Mrs. Shalini Arora, who also appreciated the fact that the activity involved 100% participation of students in diverse roles . Class XI Students presented a one act play on gender inequality. Subsequently, the Executive Board initiated the first opening statement session, wherein delegates representing various countries and organizations presented their arguments emphasizing their nation's valuable contributions to building a prosperous global economy.
The second session started with a street play on the topic water scarcity presented by students from class XII.
The executive board members later introduced a hypothetical environmental crisis, to which the delegates proposed diverse solutions, culminating in their closing statements as group organizations and came up with various solutions. A Press Conference session followed, where journalists interrogated the delegates with a series of questions, prompting the delegates to offer potential resolutions and justifications.
The closing ceremony concluded the diplomatic debates, featuring a Press Release by the esteemed Principal, Mrs. Shalini Arora along with the recognition of awards presented to the esteemed delegates. A vote of thanks was proposed by Head of Economics Department, Ms Anju Singh .
