To nurture environmental stewardship and instil a deep respect for nature among young learners, Veda Vyasa DAV Public School** joyfully celebrated **Vanmahotsava**
throughout the week and culminated the celebrations on **4 July 2025** under the leadership of “* a dedicated advocate of environmental conservation - Principal Ms Shalini Arora and the ever-inspiring Supervisory Head Ms Anju Singh*.*
The celebrations began with enthusiastic participation from the (Pre-primary), where the youngest students enjoyed nature walks, clay modelling, watering plants, and tree-themed art—fostering early environmental sensitivity.
In LKG, children engaged in tree dabbing, apple crafts, and rhyme recitation, while UKG** students participated in lively circle time discussions, poetry recitation, and created artwork on the theme *“Trees Are Our Friends.”*
Class I students emerged as confident green ambassadors, expressing themselves through storytelling, slogan-based attendance, free speech, and engaging worksheet activities focused on nature.
Class II learners actively participated in a nature scavenger hunt, theme-based creative writing, and a hands-on task titled *“Green is Life,”* reinforcing the value of greenery in our lives.
Class III students showcased creativity and awareness by wearing vibrant headgear with slogans such as *“I am a Green Crusader”* and *“Earth Saviour.”* They also performed poem recitations using stick puppets, engagingly spreading environmental messages.
Students of Classes IV and V expressed their eco-consciousness through heartfelt poems in English and Hindi, impactful poster-making on environmental conservation, and an organized **Garbage Collection Drive**—highlighting the need for **waste segregation, recycling, and reuse**.
One of the major highlights of the event was the **Green Awareness March**, where students from all grades raised thoughtful slogans and motivated the school community to protect and preserve trees.
The Principal applauded the efforts of the young learners and led a symbolic sapling plantation ceremony, setting a strong example of responsible citizenship.
Supervisory Head, Ms. Anju Singh shared an insightful message: *“Let us raise a generation that understands the value of our planet and strives to preserve it.”*
