Veda Vyasa DAV Public School, Vikaspuri organized a Cancer Awareness and free check up Camp in collaboration with Rotary Club of Delhi Janak. The Cancer Screening with the provision of mobile Cancer detection unit, Doctors and medical assistants provided checkup free of cost. Slum dewellers , parents and people living around the Vicinity of the school saw the presentation of Cancer awareness Camp provided an insight into the causes of cancer, if detected early it can be treated. The main focus was to bring forth awareness about the about the disease among the underprivileged sections of the society

Oral, cervical , breast cancer, screening test were conducted. The Rotarians, doctors , medical assistants carried out the screening with ease. The Principal of the School Mrs. Chitra Nakra lauded the efforts of the Rotarians and Interact Club for their commitment to the underprivileged and society. It was also an encouragement for the students of the interact club to be engaged for the good of the community.
